Wild Thing is a nature-inspired yoga studio in Little River, Miami, founded by Aly Barraza. It runs on a roster of instructors and front-desk staff, each paid for their own classes and hours at their own rate.
Starting with Cleo
Wild Thing opened in late November 2025 and set up its Cleo account on November 24, the same week. Cleo has handled its instructor payments from the start.
The hard part was the rates. In Aly's words: "We have so many different types of pay rates." The bills on Cleo cover classes, hourly shifts and front-desk hours, each at its own rate.
How it grew
The studio received 12 bills in its first month. In September 2026 it received 65. 39 of its 40 payees have been paid more than once, which is what a regular teaching roster looks like.
Each bill lists the work behind it, from hours by date to the grand opening.
What runs on Cleo now
Aly and Brett oversee the bills as they come in and approve them. Payment goes out by ACH, and the median bill is paid 1.7 days after it is created.
It keeps it nice and easy for Brett and I to focus on the things that are really going to help us push the brand and the vision that we have for the studio.
At a conservative 10 minutes saved per invoice, that is at least 73 hours of payment work Wild Thing has not had to do since it opened.
