What information do I need to provide during signup?

All vendors on the Cleo Pay platform will need to sign up using a tax ID number — either your Social Security Number if filing as an individual, or your EIN if you're registering as an LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp, or other entity. You'll also need to provide a mailing address for 1099 forms and connect your bank account via Plaid or manual entry.

Is Cleo Pay safe to use?

Yes. Cleo Pay uses bank-level encryption to keep all of your sensitive data and information safe and secure. Our partner Plaid keeps all bank account information secure and encrypted.

How long does it take to receive my payment?

Accepted Answer

Once you're notified that payment has been initiated, the funds will be deposited to your bank account via ACH within one to two business days.

Question 4

Is there a fee for vendors to use Cleo Pay?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no cost to you as a vendor to receive payments through Cleo Pay. The business paying you covers all platform fees. You receive 100% of your payment amount.

Question 5

Will I receive a 1099 to file my taxes at the end of the year?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All vendors on the Cleo platform who are U.S. entities and receive over $600 will receive a 1099 form from the business that paid you. 1099 forms will be mailed out in January following the previous tax year and will also be available in your Cleo vendor portal.

Do I get access to a vendor portal to track payments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your vendor account is created, you can see the status of all your invoices and payment requests. Once payments are made, you'll see whether the payment is processing or has been deposited to your bank account.

What happens if a payment fails or is returned?

Accepted Answer

If a payment fails — for example, due to incorrect bank information — you will be notified immediately and can update your banking details in your vendor portal. Once corrected, the payment will be reprocessed.

Question 8

How do I update my bank account information?

Accepted Answer

You can update your banking information at any time through your vendor portal. Log in, navigate to your payment settings, and follow the prompts to link a new bank account via Plaid or enter your new account details manually.
