Full:Life Hospitality runs venues including UNVEILED in Brooklyn and Creatures Rooftop. Its payables run through four companies, each with its own Cleo account: UNVEILED, the Selina company behind Creatures Rooftop, the Grand Street company, and Full Life Hospitality LLC. Between them they pay DJs, security, door staff and coat check, hosts and promoters, talent bookers, videographers, marketing consultants and overnight cleaning crews. At Creatures, the invoices also cover rooftop buyouts, birthday parties and graduation brunches.
A note up front: Duncan Abdelnour, Cleo Pay's founder, is a founding partner in Full:Life, alongside Thatcher Shultz. We are telling the story with that tie up front.
Before Cleo
Before Cleo, Duncan was busy with payments for every one of these venues at once. Each venue books its own people and pays them separately.
The switch
UNVEILED, Creatures Rooftop's Selina company and the Grand Street company opened their Cleo accounts in April 2025 and paid 51 invoices that May. Full Life Hospitality LLC joined in February 2026. In April 2026 the four companies paid 148 invoices, their busiest month so far.
What runs on Cleo now
Each company has its own account and its own team on Cleo, between 5 and 8 people each, so every venue approves and pays its own invoices. 1,169 of the 1,430 invoices were sent in by the payee.
| Company | Invoices paid | Payees |
|---|---|---|
| UNVEILED | 567 | 223 |
| Full:Life Grand Street | 382 | 172 |
| Creatures Rooftop (Full Life Selina) | 377 | 145 |
| Full Life Hospitality LLC | 104 | 30 |
These figures leave out the invoices the four companies paid each other.
Thatcher recorded the video a few months in. The first change he named was the accountant's week.
Freed up a lot of time with our CPA, Noel. She's been saving 10 hours a week, which saves us money.
At a conservative 10 minutes saved per invoice, that is at least 238 hours of processing across the four companies.
