Gerber Group runs bars in New York, including Mr Purple, 12 Stories, Rose & Rye and The Campbell. Each bar has its own Cleo account, and one person on Gerber's team works across all four from a single login.
Between them, the bars pay the people who make a night happen: DJs, crowd management, lighting techs on Mr Purple's 14th and 15th floors, hosts and promoters, live performers, a digital photo booth, a facility cleaning crew, a handyman and a bar consultant.
The switch
Gerber set up its bars on Cleo in December 2025 and paid its first invoices at the end of January 2026. Volume climbed into the spring. In May 2026 the four bars paid 151 invoices, their busiest month so far.
What runs on Cleo now
The payees do the typing. 924 of the 989 invoices Gerber has paid were sent in by the DJ, crew member or vendor, not entered by Gerber's team. Each bar has between 2 and 4 people in its account who review and approve, and the median invoice at each bar is paid between 7.8 and 9.3 days after it comes in.
| Bar | Invoices paid | Payees |
|---|---|---|
| Mr Purple & The Club | 599 | 166 |
| 12 Stories | 213 | 11 |
| Rose & Rye | 116 | 19 |
| The Campbell | 61 | 13 |
The bars look different on paper. Mr Purple pays 166 people, most of them a few times each. 12 Stories pays 11 people, 10 of them more than once.
At a conservative 10 minutes saved per invoice, that is at least 164 hours of processing across the four bars.
