6AM Group is a Los Angeles electronic music event production and digital media company focused on underground house and techno. It started as a local blog and club sub-promotion company, co-founded the WORK, RE/FORM and COMPOUND parties, and by its own count has organized and promoted more than 1,000 events.
Andri Pramono is 6AM's Finance Director. In his numbers, 6AM throws 60 to 65 events a year, about five a month, and each one has 10 to 15 payouts: DJs, crews and the vendors who build the night.

Before Cleo
Every payout went out by hand, through whichever app the payee used: Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, ACH, wire, and sometimes a check.
Before Cleo, we handled all the payments pretty much manually.
Month end meant logging into each of those platforms and reconciling them one by one.
What runs on Cleo now
6AM paid its first bill through Cleo in July 2026. Every payout now goes through Cleo first. Andri codes each bill to 6AM's chart of accounts, it goes through the approval workflow, and it is paid from Cleo, with QuickBooks Online synced.
For each transaction, it takes three click of a button. And I don't have to log into, you know, five different payment platform. Pretty much it's just Cleo.
Through mid-October, 6AM paid 100 bills to 28 artists, crews and vendors through Cleo. 62 of those bills were sent in by the payee, not typed in by 6AM, and the median bill was paid 3.6 days after it came in.
Month end
Because every bill is coded when it is approved and synced when it is paid, the books are already up to date at the end of the month. What is left is matching the transactions in the accounting software.
I would say it cuts 10 times the amount of work that I have to do.
Artists and vendors
Many of 6AM's payees are independent contractors who used to build their own invoices in Excel. Now, when 6AM has a list of people to pay, it uploads the list to Cleo, and Cleo creates the invoices for every payee who is already on Cleo.
They're all happy. I have not received any complaint.
They save time from both my side and also from the vendor's side.
