All vendors on the Cleo Pay platform will need to sign up using a tax ID number.
If you're filing as an individual, either your social security number or your EIN (Employer Identification Number) if you're registering as an LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp, etc.
This allows us to make sure all payments are being sent to verified businesses. Whether you are self-employed and acting as an independent contractor or you are a larger business or company.
Additionally, you will need to provide a mailing address so that you may receive a 1099 form at the end of the year, along with connecting your bank account. For connecting your bank account, we offer two methods:
Option 1 (Recommended): Through our partner Plaid, which will enable you to log in and safely and securely link your bank account.
Option 2: Manually add your bank account routing and account numbers.
