# Will I get a 1099 from a business that paid me through Cleo Pay?

> A 1099-NEC comes from the business that paid you, not from Cleo Pay. When one is ready, we email you and it appears in your account under Settings, then Tax Forms, where you can download it.

If you get a 1099-NEC for money paid through Cleo Pay, it comes from the business that paid you, not from Cleo Pay. When the business's form for you is ready, we email you and it shows up in your account under **Settings**, then **Tax Forms**. Questions about what's on the form go to that business.

## The emails you'll get

When a 1099 is ready, we email the admins on your Cleo Pay account with the subject "Your 1099-NEC from [business] is now available". It names the business and the tax year.

If you don't download it, we send reminders: "Reminder: Your 1099-NEC from [business] is available", then a last one, "Final Reminder: Your 1099-NEC from [business]". The reminders stop once you download the form.

## Download your 1099

1. Sign in at app.cleo-pay.com.
2. Go to **Settings**, then **Tax Forms**.
3. Forms are grouped by tax year, with the name of the business that sent each one.
4. Click the file name next to the business to download the PDF.

If the page says "No 1099 forms yet. When businesses send you 1099s, they'll appear here.", no business has sent you one through Cleo Pay. Only admins on your account can see this page.

## Whether you should get one

That's up to the business that paid you. If you expected one and it hasn't arrived, ask the business.

Your 1099 uses the name, tax ID and address from your W-9, so keep them current. See [How to submit your W-9](https://cleo-pay.com/help/submit-your-w-9).

## Something on the form is wrong

Contact the business that sent it. The form is theirs, so questions about the amounts or details go to them. If your name, tax ID or address on it is wrong because your W-9 is out of date, update your W-9 first, then tell the business.

If you can't find a form the business says it sent through Cleo Pay, email support@cleo-pay.com with the business's name and the tax year.
